The Badi Bata program, named after Prof. Jayashankar, is a key initiative aimed at increasing enrollment in government schools and strengthening them through active community participation. This program focuses on updating village education registers, addressing schools with low enrollment, and highlighting the essential role of parents in their children’s education. The program also informs parents and students about the various amenities and benefits available in government schools, such as free bilingual textbooks, notebooks, uniforms, midday meals, and provisions for children with special needs. The program was launched for the academic year 2024-25 from June 6 to June 19, 2024, across all schools in the state.
