Initiation: After the formation of Telangana, the government launched a programme for landless Dalit agrarian families through GO.No.4, issued on 7th August 2014.
Target Beneficiaries: Women from landless Dalit agricultural families are the primary beneficiaries.
Land Allocation: Each selected beneficiary is to receive 3 acres of land at one place.
Focus on Poorest: The programme identifies the poorest of the poor landless agricultural families as eligible for the scheme.
Ownership: The allocated land will be given on patta exclusively to women from eligible Dalit families.
Land Acquisition: The Telangana government purchases land to allocate for this programme.
Distribution Results: As of the SEO-2020 report, the government purchased 15,488 acres of land and distributed it among 6,104 poor Dalit families.
