To curb the rising trend of C-section deliveries, Telangana has introduced Team-Based Incentives:

Rs. 3,000 incentive for hospitals exceeding normal delivery benchmarks

Benchmarks are based on each hospital’s past performance

For hospitals already performing well, incentives are given for surpassing the average
Since August 2022, a total of Rs. 305.76 lakh has been paid for 10,192 eligible normal deliveries.
