Telangana College Teachers Convention

• The Telangana University College Teachers Convention was held on 20th May 1969 at YMCA Hall, presided over by Prof. Shahmanjur Aalam.
• The inaugural speech was delivered by Dr. Rawada Satyanarayana, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University.
• Acharya Jayashankar and Ananda Rao, along with many scholars, attended the seminar and presented research articles on the injustices faced by the Telangana region.
• All the research articles were compiled into a book titled ‘Telangana Movement & Investigative Focus’, including the article ‘Dr. KL Rao – Nagarjuna Sagar’ by Prof. Jayashankar, which was later discussed in Parliament.
• Following the discussions, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi invited Jayashankar and others to Delhi to deliberate on the issues raised.
• The closing ceremony of the convention was addressed by Marrichenna Reddy.
