As of June 2021, the company’s market capitalization was ₹5604 crore. Originally known as Vazir Sultan Tobacco Company (VST), it operated as a subsidiary of the British American Tobacco company from the United Kingdom. In 1983, it was officially registered as VST Industries Ltd and has since enjoyed complete independence.
Founding and Leadership
The company was founded by the late Mr. Vazir Sultan in 1916. In 1930, VST became a public company. Unfortunately, Mr. Vazir Sultan passed away on June 12, 1923. Following his demise, Mr. Mohammad Sultan, his eldest son, became the first chairman of VST Industries.
