- On 21 February 2022, ChiefMinister KCR laid foundation stone for the construction of Sangameshwara-Basaveshwara Lift Irrigation Projects at Narayankhed. The scheme would irrigate about 3.84 lakh acres of uplands in Sangareddy, Zaheerabad, Andole and Narayankhed Assembly segments.
- Two lifts would provide water to 57 thousand acres in Sangareddy, 1.06 Zabegrabad, 56 thousand acres in Andale and 1.65 lakh acres in Narayankhed constituencies. This LIS would be constructed on Singur reservoir. 20 TMC water from Kaleshwaram Project has been allotted to the two lifts. Works are underway to send Kaleshwaram water to Singur and from there to four constituencies at a cost of Rs. 4,427 crore.
- 12 TMC water would be lifted through the Sangameshwara project. It irrigates 2 lakh 19 thousand acres in Sangareddy, Zaheerabad and Andole constituencies, 8 TMC water would be lifted through Basaveshwara project. It irrigates 1 lakh 65 thousand acres in Narayankhed and Andole constituencies. The scheme is proposed to be completed within two years. Basaveshwara Lift is being constructed at Borancha in Manoor Mandal Narayankhed and Sangameshwara Lift is being constructed at Abdullapur in Raikode Mandal ofAndole constituency. It provides drinking water to 231 villages in 12 Mandals of Sangareddy, Zaheerabad and Andole constituencies. Basaveshwara Lift provides drinking water to 166 villages in 8 Mandals ofNarayankhed and Andole constituencies.
