Celestial Objects
Since ancient times, human beings have looked up at the clear night sky with wonder and curiosity. The vast, dark space that surrounds our planet is filled with countless glowing bodies. Any natural physical entity, association, or structure that exists outside the Earth’s atmosphere is collectively known as a celestial object (or a heavenly body).
Common examples of celestial objects include the Sun, the Moon, planets, stars, and comets. The scientific study of these objects, their movements, and the universe they exist within is known as Astronomy.
