  • He was the court poet of velamas.
  • He belongs to the “Bammera” village in Warangal district.
  • His titles are:
  • Sahaja Kavi / Sahaja Panditya, Bhaktha
  • Potana and Maha Bhagavat Kartha.
  • Literary works are:
  • Veera Bhadra Vijayam
  • Andhra Maha Bharatam
  • Narayana Shatakam
  • Bhogini Dandakam.
  • Bhogini Dandakam is related to the love story of Sarvagna Singama Nayaka and his lover Bhogini.
  • Potana disliked the things which were taking place in the king’s palace and thereby left the kingdom and led his life by doing agriculture.
  • Bammera Potana is known as the relative of Srinatha.
