Rafale Aircraft in India
India signed an intergovernmental agreement with France in 2016 to purchase 36 Rafale fighter jets. This deal is known as the Rafale deal. The Rafale jets are part of the Indian Air Force’s efforts to modernize its aging fleet and enhance its capabilities.

- Stealth and Survivability: The aircraft incorporates stealth features to reduce its radar cross-section. It also has advanced electronic warfare systems to enhance survivability.
- Range and Payload: The Rafale has a considerable combat radius, allowing it to operate over long distances. It can carry a variety of weapons and has the flexibility to adapt to different mission requirements.

Induction into the Indian Air Force: The first batch of Rafale fighter jets arrived in India in July 2020. The induction of Rafale aircraft into the Indian Air Force is aimed at bolstering the country’s air defense capabilities and providing it with a modern and versatile platform.
