Pulomavi-I played a significant role in reviving the glory of the Satavahana regime and continued its legacy. Scholars believe that he killed Susarma of the Kanva dynasty and occupied Magadha. He holds historical importance as the first South Indian king to invade Pataliputra, the iconic capital of Ancient India. This event laid the foundation for an independent imperial rule of the Satavahanas. However, after his reign, weaker rulers followed, who were eventually driven from Maharashtra to Andhra by the Saka-Pahlava king Nahapana.
