DRIVER EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME

• Government of Telangana has launched a programme called “DRIVER EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME” to empower the Minority Drivers in collaboration with SBI, Maruthi Motors & Uber cab service provider. The program includes skill enhancement of the Drivers through Maruthi Driving School, assistance for placement through Uber and financial assistance for vehicle purchase through Minorities Finance Corporation & SBI.

Eligibility

• Minimum qualification is 8th pass, but SSC pass/ fail will be given preference
• The age limit of the applicant shall be between 21 to 40 years
• Applicant should have valid LMV Transport license issued by RTA
• Seniority / experience as Driver
• The applicant should be interested to work with Uber in Hyderabad
• The Household Annual income of less than Rs.1,50,OOO/- (Rural) and Rs. 2,00,000/- (Urban)
• Interested candidates shall apply through online tsobmms.cgg.gov.in managed by Centre for Good Governance (CGG)
• Offline application shall not be accepted
• Only successful candidates after completion of training by Maruti Driving School are eligible for financial assistance for purchase of car

Funding Pattern

• Subsidy – 60% of the Unit cost (or) Rs.5,00,000/- whichever is less from TSMFC
• Beneficiary Share – Rs.50,000/-
• Balance amount is Loan from participating Bank
