Mission Shakti is a government program that aims to improve the safety and security of women and empower them. It has two components: Sambal and Samarthya.

Sambal Scheme

• Sambal focuses on providing support to women who have experienced violence.
• It includes the One Stop Centre scheme, which provides a one-stop shop for services such as medical care, legal advice, and temporary housing.
• It also includes the Women Helpline, which is a 24-hour toll-free number that women can call for help.

Samarthya Scheme

• Samarthya focuses on empowering women through education, employment, and other initiatives.
• It includes schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, which provides financial assistance to pregnant and lactating women.
• It also includes the Hub for Empowerment of Women, which promotes inter-sectoral convergence of policies and initiatives for women.
