- General description: Guduchi is a large, deciduous, extensively spreading, climbing shrub with several elongated twining branches. The leaves are simple, heart-shaped, and have long petioles. The fruits appear in clusters of one to three and are orange in color.
Uses of Guduchi:
- Fever: A 30 ml decoction of Guduchi stem is useful in treating and preventing various types of fever, including dengue, malaria, and chikungunya-like flu symptoms.
- Enhances immunity: A 40 ml decoction of Guduchi stem taken daily along with standard treatment supports immune function in conditions such as AIDS, tuberculosis, and even cancer. It also helps prevent seasonal infections.
- Diabetes: The stem of Tinospora cordifolia is widely used in diabetic therapy for regulating blood glucose levels.
- Joint pain: Single or combined formulations of Tinospora cordifolia with ginger are used for treating all types of arthritis, including those that occur after viral fevers.
